Dr. Mushfiqur Rahman, the new Secretary in Telecom
The Chief Executive Officer of the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Authority of the Prime Minister's Office Dr. Md. Mushfiqur Rahman has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Division. And the present telecommunication Secretary Abu Hena Morshed Zaman is joining the Local Government Division.
The Ministry of Public Administration executed this transfer order on Tuesday as per the order of the President.
On January 1, 2023, Abu Hena Morshed Zaman joined the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Division from the Secretary of the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division. On the other hand, after serving as the Director General (Additional Secretary) of the Islamic Foundation, he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (Secretary) of the Prime Minister's Office on November 2, 2022.
Mushfiqur Rahman joined the Cadre Service in 1994 AD as an officer of 13th batch of BCS (Administration) Cadre. He has served in various positions at the field administration and ministry level. He served as Assistant Commissioner in Jhenaidah, Chuadanga and Jessore Districts; as Upazila Nirbahi Officer in three Upazilas, as Senior Assistant Secretary in Road Transport and Highways Department and as a Deputy Secretary in Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
Mushfikur Rahman was born in Nandigram Upazila of Bogura District. He passed SSC from Nandigram Pilot High School and HSC from Govt Azizul Haque College, Bogura. He received Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and MSc degree in Microbiology from Bangladesh Agricultural University. Later he obtained an MA degree in Governance and Development from BRAC University and a PhD in Pathology from Bangladesh Agricultural University.
Md. Mushfiqur Rahman on the other side is working as the Private Secretary of State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak. He is a Deputy Secretary.
